Lock Lane under 15s | Division 2 League Winners Story

"After a 2016 season of just missing out on the top two position, Lock Lane were determined to do better. A new target was set at the beginning of the 2017 season by the players - "win the league."

"This target was not only achieved but through the hard work of the coaches and players they won the league with a massive ten-point lead and a points difference of +312.

"As the season progressed, Lock Lane kept on a winning, the boys trained hard and each match showed their sheer determination to carry on their winning ways.

"There were some tough games which needed the boys to dig deep and never give up, such as the Stanningley away match resulting in a narrow win of 26-24, this was a great game against a team we are sure will follow us next year.

"The win away against Shaw cross with a history making score line of 1-0 to Lock Lane showed how badly the team wanted the league winner's title.

"With only one defeat in the season, Lock Lane were determined to lift the title on the back of a win, and that is exactly what they did when they met West Hull at home in their final match of the season.

"With a comfortable win of 26-4 secured, the celebrations could begin!

"The league title was secured, achieved by determination, hard work and the unbreakable relationship the boys have with their committed coaches who they couldn't have done it without.

"Lock Lane's story is a real example of what hard work and a massive support network can do. Congratulations to everyone and here's to a successful 2018 season."
