Tackle Our Life

Tackle Our Life is an employability and skills programme. The concept is focused on creating new, ‘Rugby League inspired’ opportunities that empower young people aged between 16 and 18 to develop skills, knowledge, and confidence to achieve greater life outcomes.

Tackle Our Life has been developed in response to widely available evidence suggesting people growing up in areas of high deprivation are more likely to face challenges with their mental health, attain lower education grades, and become unemployed in later life. This inequality gap has only increased following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tackle Our Life will be delivered by our professional club charitable foundations in partnership with SCL Education. The study programme for young people involved gaining a BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Work Skills, GCSE and/or Functional Skills in English & Maths, Personal Development Tutorial Programmes and work experience at the foundation and external opportunities. This equals to 16 hours a week in the exciting and insightful environment of our foundations for the young person on the programme to develop essential skills to support their life outcomes.

The programme delivery will start in 2025.
