The 2025 ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes Series!

Following a 22-year absence, the famous Ashes Series returned this autumn, with England Men playing a three-Test series against Australia.

Rivalries were finally reignited between the two nations, and the 2025 ABK Beer Ashes Series was played on three consecutive Saturday afternoons – October 25, November 1 and November 8 – at three iconic venues, Wembley Stadium in London, Everton's new Hill Dickinson Stadium and AMT Headingley Stadium in Leeds.

 The latter two venues were completely SOLD OUT.

After three blood and thunder battles, the Kangaroos would prove too strong to overcome, as England fell to a 3-0 series defeat.

The Rugby League Ashes is a series played between England (formerly Great Britain) and Australia and took place in autumn 2025 for the first time in 22 years.

The Kangaroos came away with a 3-0 series victory.

The two hemisphere giants clashed under the lights of three iconic venues in the UK - Wembley Stadium, Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium and AMT Headingley Stadium.

Prior to this, the two sides hadn't played each other in a competitive match since the 2017 World Cup Final, when Australia beat England 6-0.

The inaugural Ashes series dates back to 1908.

In Ashes series history, Great Britain have won 19 and Australia have won 21 – including the last 14 consecutive series dating from 1970 to 2025.

The Lions haven’t won an Ashes series for 55 years but have come excruciatingly close on multiple occasions.

The Ashes has a rich and storied history, with so many legendary moments and players etched in Rugby League folklore, that are reminisced across multiple generations… 

2025 was the first time the series was be contested by England and not Great Britain.
