Thatto Heath Crusaders to host the 2025 Girls Cup Finals

Thatto Heath Crusaders to host the 2025 Girls Cup Finals

The terrific Girls League concludes this weekend on Saturday 25th October, with the Cup Finals taking place at Thatto Heath Crusaders.

The Girls Cup Finals is set to be a day packed with talent and determination as all eight teams aim to claim the silverware.

The 2025 Girls’ Rugby League season has boasted more players, teams, and clubs than ever and will be a true celebration of the growth in the Girls game.

The Cup Competition will close the Girls’ season, following the League Finals in September. There will be four finals taking place, where 100 teams have been whittled down to the final eight, adding immense anticipation for tightly contested finals across the day.

Finals Overview:

10:30 KO - Under 13s Cup Final - Myton Warriors v Shaw Cross Sharks

The day will start with the Under 13s Final, which sees Myton Warriors take on Shaw Cross Sharks. Both teams have had successful league seasons, Shaw Cross finishing top of the A Division and Myton 2nd in the B Division. Both have had strong cup runs, winning all games in the lead up to the final.

11:45 KO - Under 14s Cup Final - Hull KR v Dewsbury Moor

The Under 14s will see a repeat of the Premier Division Grand Final, with Hull KR and Dewsbury Moor proving they are the dominant teams at the age group. In September’s final, Hull KR came away with the title after a 10-0-win, so Dewsbury Moor will be looking for redemption and to go home as the champions this time round.

13:00 KO - Under 15s Cup Final  - Thatto Heath Crusaders v Drighlington

There have been upsets in the Under 15s Cup already, with Thatto Heath Crusaders having an excellent competition, beating Premier Division winners Bentley in the Quarter Final and 4th place Leigh Miners in the Semis after finishing 7th in the League themselves. Will their cup run continue in the final, against a consistent Drighlington team who were the Grand Final winners in September? They will be looking to take the double, after an impressive season across both competitions.

14:30 KO - Under 16s Cup Final - Rochdale Mayfield v Dewsbury Moor

The final game of the day will see Rochdale Mayfield take on Dewsbury Moor, which will come as another upset in some supporter’s eyes. Mayfield being the North West Regional winners, have seen off strong Premier Division opponents to book their place in the final. They will face Grand Final winners Dewsbury Moor, who have had another dominant season, and will be looking to finish it in style with a Cup win.
