Manchester Swinton Lionesses and London Broncos head into Women’s National Championship Final with hopes for Betfred Women’s Super League Promotion

Sunday 20th September will showcase the very best of the Women’s National Championship as League Leaders Manchester Swinton Lionesses take on London Broncos in a fierce clash, with both sides aiming to secure a place in the 2026 Betfred Women’s Super League.

Reigning Challenge Shield champions the Lionesses have dominated the league this season, remaining unbeaten throughout, and after a convincing semi-final victory over rivals Warrington Wolves last weekend, the Lionesses have earned home advantage in the National Championship Grand Final.  

However, London Broncos are no stranger to reaching the Finals. The Broncos have reached the last two league finals consecutively, narrowly missing out on the last step in their hopeful Betfred Women’s Super League journey and losing to northern sides Leigh Leopards and Featherstone Rovers.  

Winners of the 2026 Women’s National Championship Grand Final will face the bottom-placed team from the Betfred Women’s Super League Shield Competition in the fixture coined as the Promotion Play-Off Final.   

That decisive clash will take place on Sunday 27 September 2026, serving as a double-header to the 2026 Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final.
