AMT Headingley to host Round Two of the PDRL Medequip Cup

AMT Headingley to host Round Two of the PDRL Medequip Cup

Round Two of the inaugural PDRL Medequip Cup will be held at the iconic AMT Headingley Stadium on Thursday 11 September with kick-off at 6.00pm.

The match will serve as the curtain-raiser to Leeds Rhinos vs Catalans Dragons' Betfred Super League clash later that evening.

The competition got off to a fantastic start in August, when Yorkshire edged out Lancashire 18–12 in a thrilling first-round encounter at Victoria Park, Warrington.

With just four points separating the sides, Lancashire will be determined to bounce back, while Yorkshire will be looking to build momentum and edge closer to making history by claiming the first-ever Origin Series win in the PDRL variant of the game.

Chris Godfrey, National Inclusion Manager, said: “Round one of the inaugural Medequip Cup was a huge success, with both teams delivering outstanding performances and showcasing the very best of PDRL. The players, staff, volunteers and supporters all played their part in making it a memorable occasion.

It’s fantastic that Headingley Stadium will host Round Two of the series, and I’ve no doubt we’ll see another high-quality contest. Good luck to both sides - we’re in for a brilliant evening of Rugby League, with both the Leeds Rhinos vs Catalans Dragons fixture and the Yorkshire vs Lancashire clash providing plenty of excitement and Rugby League action.”
