Jodie Cunningham leads way in mid-season international stats

Thanks to Stats Perform, the RFL can share a detailed statistical breakdown of both matches in Saturday’s Mid-Season International double header at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Jodie Cunningham produced a performance worthy of the Woman of Steel in England’s 36-10 win against France, running for a total of 221 metres from 24 carries, and also topping the tackle count with 26 in a tireless 80-minute performance.

The second-row pairing of Hollie Dodd (25 tackles in 70 minutes) and captain Emily Rudge (24 in 77) weren’t far behind – and the all-Leeds half-back pairing of Georgia Roche and debutant Courtney Winfield-Hill were impressively industrious in possession, with 20 and 18 carries respectively.

George Williams maintained that theme of running half-backs in the men’s match against Combined Nations All Stars which followed, carrying the ball for an eyecatching total of 197 metres from 27 runs – leading the stats in each category.

Tommy Makinson was close behind in terms of metres, with 193 from 18 carries, and John Bateman earned his player of the match award by topping the tackle count with 37, in addition to making 189 metres with the ball.
