The official souvenir programmes for Saturday’s Betfred Challenge Cup triple header have been printed – and you can order them online now.
The 68-page programme, priced at £5, is packed with Rugby League reading, including interviews with all six head coaches of the teams involved.
There’s a special feature on Rugby League’s long history at Elland Road, a focus on clubs who have been especially unlucky in Challenge Cup semi finals, and the club historians of Wigan and St Helens reflect on their personal memories of previous derby meetings at this stage of the competition.
Amos Wynn of the Wigan Evening Post focuses on the inspirational work of two former St Helens stalwarts, Chris Joynt and Dave Lyon, in supporting charity work in Ukraine.
Dave Craven prompts some Challenge Cup memories from Stanley Gene, who has made such an impact at both Huddersfield and Hull KR, and Our League commentary regular Dave Parkinson tells the story of the early rounds of the Cup, from Leigh to Portsmouth.
The Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final takes precedence, on the cover and in the programme itself, with a foreword from RFL President Clare Balding OBE and the scene is set for the latest showdown between Leeds Rhinos and St Helens by Women’s Rugby League expert Lorraine Marsden.
