"They would have tears in their eyes. They were literally completely overwhelmed," the words of Distington ARLFC Chairman Mark Askew who was the brainchild of Distington's community aid idea.
Te club distributed 1,000 flyers to spread the word of the service they are providing and have since began to receive up to 30 calls per day, taking up around 600 request in total and collecting around 300 prescriptions.
