Jack Farrimond Awarded 2026 Lance Todd Trophy

Jack Farrimond was the convincing winner of the Lance Todd Trophy after his leading role in Wigan’s Wembley win against Hull KR on Saturday.

The 20-year-old halfback, making his Wembley debut, scored two first-half tries and assisted another at the start of the second half.

Farrimond received 23 of the 34 votes cast by members of the media.

Adam Keighran, who also scored two tries, got eight votes, Junior Nsemba received two, and Harry Smith one.

Farrimond joins a long list of winners of the award who have represented the Warriors – including current CEO Kris Radlinski, who won it in 2002 and one of the most recognisable names in Challenge Cup history, Martin Offiah MBE.

There was double celebration on Saturday for Wigan with the Player of the Match in the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final also playing in Cherry & White – Jenna Foubister, the 19-year-old stand-off was rewarded for her phenomenal contribution to the Warriors’ 54-6 demolition of St Helens.

That decision was made by the BBC commentary team.

The Lance Todd Trophy winner is decided by members of the Rugby League Writers and Broadcasters Association, and other journalists present at Wembley – and was first awarded to Billy Stott of Wakefield Trinity in 1946.
