Looking for a fun way to get active as the evenings get lighter? Free Tag Rugby Taster Sessions are taking place across the UK this April and May, offering the perfect chance to try something new and meet new people.
Try Tag Rugby, an official partner of the Rugby Football League, will be running sessions across 36 towns, cities and boroughs nationwide. These sessions provide a welcoming introduction to Tag Rugby, a non-tackling version of the game that is easy to pick up and suitable for all abilities.
Whether you have never played before or are looking to get back into rugby in a more social format, the sessions are inclusive, relaxed and enjoyable, with plenty of laughs along the way. There is no experience required and no obligation to join a league afterwards, just an opportunity to give it a go.
Tag Rugby is played in mixed gender teams, making it a great way to stay active while meeting new people. Many players come along on their own and quickly become part of a local community, built around fun, fitness and friendship.
Free Taster Sessions offer a gentle introduction to the game, with friendly organisers on hand to explain the rules and help everyone get involved. The format is accessible for a wide range of fitness levels, making it an ideal way to ease into regular activity.
Try Tag Rugby co-founder, Alistair Davis, said:
“Our Free Taster Sessions are a great way for new people to come and experience Tag Rugby. Everyone is there for the same reason, to have fun, get active and meet new people in a welcoming environment.
“The sessions are completely free, so there is nothing to lose. We would encourage anyone who is curious to come along and give it a try.”
