The weekend of the 15th of November saw a thrilling PDRL finals day filled with outstanding Rugby League action, resulting in Leeds Rhinos securing the 2025 season Championship Title.
The day opened with a first vs fourth play-off clash between Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves. Leeds quickly established dominance from the first whistle and impressively maintained control of the match throughout, claiming a well-deserved and first victory of the day to book their place in the final.
The second semi-final fixture of the day saw Wakefield Trinity face Wigan Warriors in a tense second vs third match-up. Wigan led for much of the contest. However, Wakefield showed resilience when mounting an impressive comeback to steal the win from Wigan’s grips and to progress to the final to face Leeds Rhinos.
In the last fixture of the day - the championship decider, Leeds produced once again a commanding performance which saw them triumph to victory. Tries from Tommy Pouncey and Australian star Bryce Crane helped secure the win and Man of the Match honours were awarded to Dan Bell who displayed an exceptional performance.
The Championship title was just the latest of silverware that Leeds Rhinos have secured, adding to the League Leaders shield already earned earlier this season.
