Community Integrated Care launch Easy Read Guide for the ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes Series

Community Integrated Care launch Easy Read Guide for the ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes Series

Community Integrated Care, the Official Social Care Partner of Rugby League, has unveiled an edition of the Easy Read Guide to ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes Series, which starts at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 25 October.

The series then heads to Liverpool for the second test to be at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday 1st November and culminates in Leeds at AMT Headingley on Saturday 8th November.

This innovative resource, co-created with members of the charity’s Support Squad - a special group of individuals with learning disabilities who are employed to share their lives experience and enable organisations to become more accessible - aims to make Rugby League more understandable to new and diverse audiences.

Easy read is a special form of written communications which uses carefully constructed simple sentences and supportive images to enable understanding. It is particularly powerful in supporting people who have learning disabilities or difficulties.

The guide offers clear, easy-to-understand information about the day’s events, and explains the fundamental principles of the sport in a simple and engaging format.

Easy Read Guides have already been produced for two of Rugby League's major events this year, the 2025 Betfred Challenge Cup Final and 2025 Betfred Super League Grand Final - and were a great success in helping people who have learning disabilities to discover Rugby League and be part of the occasion.

The 2025 Easy Read Guide to the ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes Series is available to download here.
