London Broncos to host Featherstone Rovers in the Women’s Northern Championship Grand Final

Who will win promotion to the 2026 Betfred Women's Super League?
Sunday 28th September will showcase the very best of the Women’s Northern Championship as London Broncos take on Featherstone Rovers in a fierce clash in the capital, with both sides aiming to secure a place in the 2026 Betfred Women’s Super League.
League Leaders London Broncos have dominated the competition this season, remaining unbeaten throughout. And after a hard-fought semi-final victory over Salford Red Devils last weekend, the Broncos have earned home advantage in the Northern Championship Grand Final.
London will take on Featherstone Rovers who overcame a strong Cardiff Demons side in their semi-final.
Featherstone a former Betfred Women’s Super League side, will be determined to claim redemption and regain their place in the top flight, after falling short in the 2024 Women’s Promotion Play-Off Final against Leigh Leopards.
With the withdrawal of Warrington Wolves from the Betfred Women’s Super League earlier this month, there will be no Promotion Play-Off Final this year, meaning all is on the line in this match, as the winners of the Northern Championship Grand-Final will be promoted to Super League for the 2026 season.
Semi Final results:
London Broncos 22-10 Salford Red Devils
Featherstone Rovers 20-14 Cardiff Demons
Grand Final Event Information:
Venue: Chiswick RFC, Dan Mason Drive, Dukes Meadows, Chiswick, London, W4 2SH
Kick-off: 2.00pm
Admissions: £5 for adults, £2 for Under 12s.
Thomas Brindle, Women’s Super League General Manager, said: “The Women’s Northern Championship has been fiercely contested this year, and this final is a perfect showcase of the skill, talent, and dedication within the league. Both the London Broncos and Featherstone Rovers have displayed outstanding determination throughout the season.
“With Super League status at stake, this match highlights the exciting pathway and ongoing growth of the women’s and girls’ game across the UK. The sport continues to build its base of players, clubs, and supporters, showing the wealth of opportunities available for athletes nationwide and for ambitious clubs to rise to the top. It’s a true celebration of the strength and progress of the women’s game.”
