Leamington RFC to host Midlands Men’s League Finals Day as the season closes with two finals in one afternoon.
Kickstarting the Finals day will be Division 1 teams Ashton Warriors v Sherwood Wolf Hunt A at 1.00pm.
This year sees the introduction of the Division 1 competition, giving ambitious clubs the chance to earn promotion to the Premier Division for next season. Aston Warriors have set the pace all year, finishing top of the regular season standings. Whilst, Sherwood Wolf Hunt A secured second place and arrive in the final full of confidence after a dominant 72-24 semi-final win over NEW Ravens. Ashton’s own semi-final was equally impressive, beating Staffordshire Quantums 54-20.
With promotion on the line, excitement is guaranteed; with both battling for silverware and Premier Division advancement.
Closing the Midlands Rugby League Finals Day will be the Premier Division, which will see Telford Raiders v Nottingham Outlaws kick off at 3.00pm.
The 2025 final will see a rematch of last season’s Premier Division final. In 2024, Telford edged a dramatic encounter 28-24, adding to their 2023 Grand Final triumph. Now, they are eager to make it three titles in a row and to continue their dominance of the league.
Telford have been unstoppable in 2025, finishing the regular season unbeaten. Nottingham Outlaws, however, are no strangers to big occasions, securing second place with seven wins from ten matches and eager to avenge last year’s heartbreak.
