This week’s England Watch saw magic Mikey Lewis produce a truly mesmerising performance.
The England halfback was an orchestrator in Hull KR’s biggest ever Betfred Super League win last Thursday, scoring a try and producing a record-breaking eight try assists.
As well as this, Lewis ran 175 metres in just 13 carries whilst making four tackle busts and completing 20 tackles.
Lewis’ passion is clear to all to see, and he’s certainly got all the attributes and skills to take on the Aussies this autumn…
His teammates Elliot Minchella and James Batchelor made a joint-total of 52 tackles, while Jez Litten marked his return to the team with two tries.
On Friday night, Owen Trout scored the match-winner for Leigh Leopards. In a 53-minute stint, Trout made a huge impact with 26 tackles and 65 metres in just eight carries. Will he get his chance to shine in the upcoming ABK Beer Ashes Series?
In their last-gasp defeat, England captain George Williams, along with Ben Currie and Danny Walker, put in brave shifts for Warrington Wolves.
There are two young St Helens stars dreaming of their first England appearance, and if their performances in Round 20 are anything to go by, then they could be in for a strong chance.
George Delaney stood tall with 24 tackles and fellow Saint Harry Robertson also stole the show.
Robertson has become renowned for his speed in 2025 as he came up with a beautiful breakaway try, 177 metres in 12 carries, six tackle busts and 24 tackles – a real superstar in the making.
Other England representatives Matty Lees and Morgan Knowles made 50 tackles combined, and Daryl Clark got on the scoresheet against his former team, Castleford Tigers.
In the NRL this week, Herbie Farnworth scored the opening try in the Dolphins' tight victory. His time on the field was short-lived in Round 22, however, as Farnworth went on to suffer a devastating hamstring injury.
This is a massive blow for the Dolphins, but the standout centre is expected to be out for approximately four to six weeks, meaning he should be back fully fit and firing to face Australia in just two month's time.
Meanwhile, Morgan Smithies continues to impress at Canberra Raiders, following another mammoth stint of 26 tackles and 83 metres in 33 minutes. Victor Radley was also back in action and featured in the Roosters' win this weekend.
