The 2024 Masters Rugby League Season is continuing to thrive following another thrilling festival hosted by Doncaster Toll Bar A.R.L.F.C.
Over 250 Masters players gathered in South Yorkshire with both men and women teams taking part on the day. With three pitches worth of action, the 23 clubs in attendance had plenty of Masters activity to enjoy.
Masters of the Day was awarded to Arlecdon Rams with John Allen of Chester Gladiators named Player of the Day and Mark Warrender was appointed Referee of the Day.
Masters Yorkshire Representative, Simon Robinshaw, said:
“What a fantastic day with teams from near and far coming together to play Masters Rugby League at such a high standard. We had people travelling from Cardiff, Arlecdon, Chester, Crosfields and Spring View so it was a great turnout.
“Thank you to Doncaster Toll Bar for hosting and a special mention must also go to the women’s Masters teams for their excellent turn out promoting the game in South Yorkshire. Again, the men’s teams turned up in numbers, celebrating together the greatest game of all.”
With the 2024 season now well under way, clubs are looking forward regional festivals which will take place throughout the year before the National Festival in September. A full list of those dates can be found via Masters RL.
