Betfred Championship Semi-Final Round-Up

Betfred Championship Semi-Final Round-Up

Toulouse Olympique and London Broncos will contest in the Betfred Championship Grand Final after winning their respective semi-finals.

Toulouse became the first side to book their place after defeating Bradford Bulls on Saturday evening.

The hosts started strongly with two tries after just 22 minutes. Bradford fired back, however, two more tries gave the hosts a 14-point advantage at the break.

Five minutes into the second half, Josh Ralph went over to extend the scores.

The sides traded tries, but Benjamin Laguerre completed the scoring with his second try of the afternoon during the 38-20 victory for Toulouse.

The French side will host London Broncos, after they defeated Featherstone Rovers at the Millennium Stadium.

Alex Walker got London off to a perfect start with a try inside the first five minutes. Dean Whare capitalised on a Featherstone error 10 minutes later to extend the Broncos lead to 12-0.

Featherstone fought back, two quick tries from Chris Hankinson and Joey Leilua, however, Walker added his second to regain the lead for London.

Brad Day was shown a yellow card for Rovers and the visitors capitalised. The Broncos scored three tries within the next 11 minutes, which saw London take a 36-12 lead.

Hankinson and Leilua both added another try either side of Luke Briscoe’s score, however, it was not enough and London booked their place in the Betfred Championship Grand Final.
