Former Castleford Tigers, St Helens and England star Michael Shenton will offer his expert analysis as part of the first pay-per-view streamed Betfred Super League fixture between Hull FC and Salford Red Devils on the Our League app this Saturday.
Shenton, who is now the head of emerging talent at Hull FC, will join George Riley in the commentary box for the live and exclusive coverage from the MKM Stadium, starting at 245pm ahead of the 3pm kick-off.
The pictures will be provided by In Touch Productions, led by Neville Smith, who drove Sky Sports’ pioneering coverage of Rugby League in the UK for two decades – and who have also been involved in Channel 4’s coverage of the Betfred Super League in the last two seasons, which received a silver medal at the Sports Journalism Association awards in London this week.
The six-camera coverage has allowed the appointment of a video referee – Liam Moore, who will be supporting the match referee Chris Kendall.
Fans at home and abroad will be able to buy a live streaming pass for £4.95 in advance of the game – increasing to £10 on the day of the match.
