The RFL sends its condolences to the family and friends of Harry Gration, who has died today at the age of 71.
Harry was best-known as a presenter of the BBC's Look North programme, but had a long relationship with Rugby League stretching back to his early days working for Radio Leeds in the 1970s, and involving a short stint with the RFL in the build-up to the successful 1995 World Cup.
He was then the regular presenter of The Super League Show, and remained a supporter of York City Knights.
Ralph Rimmer, the RFL's Chief Executive, said: "This news has come as a real shock. On behalf of Harry's former colleagues and many friends in the sport, our deepest condolences to his family.
"He was always great company, as well as a polished, professional and knowledgeable broadcaster, and a valued supporter of our sport."
