Jake Connor inspires Hull FC to win over Leeds

A dazzling display from Jake Connor inspired Hull FC to an impressive 8-31 victory over Leeds Rhinos at Headingley Stadium on Thursday evening.

The fullback scored twice in the first half as well as setting up Adam Swift’s effort with a sublime pass out wide ensuring the visitors lead 0-18 at the break.

Andre Savelio and Joe Lovodua went over after the interval with Ben McNamara kicking five goals before Connor rounded off his performance with a drop-goal eight minutes from time.

Leeds would score twice in the closing stages through Tom Briscoe and Liam Sutcliffe, but they proved nothing more than mere consolation as the Rhinos slipped to their fourth loss of the season.

The Airlie Birds victory meant they have now won three of their opening five games of the 2022 Betfred Super League season.
