The 2021 National Conference League Finals will be shown live on Our League this Saturday (16th October) in a huge Community Game triple-header at the Millennium Stadium, Featherstone.
Thatto Heath Crusaders will battle Wath Brow Hornets to be crowned NCL Grand Final winners. The Crusaders have lifted the title on two occasions, most recently in 2017, while Cumbrian side Wath Brow are looking for a Grand Final victory for the first time since 2012.
Kells and West Hull get the triple-header underway at 11:45am in the NCL Shield Final, live on Our League, with both sides having finished 2nd in their regional league earlier this season. Kells were 42-16 winners over Rochdale Mayfield in the Semi-Finals while West Hull overcame Dewsbury Moor, 18-4.
The action culminates with St Helens-based Clock Face Miners facing East Leeds in the NCL Cup Final. Clock Face edged out Leigh East 18-20 on route to the Final while East Leeds were 34-22 victors against Woolston Rovers.
NCL Chair, Trevor Hunt, said: “At the start of the season our NCL clubs made it clear they wanted a meaningful competition with the aim of achieving success at the end of the year and I believe we have provided that.
“We have crowned seven champions across seven regional leagues and either Wath Brow Hornets or Thatto Heath Crusaders will walk away as NCL Grand Final winners despite a Covid hit campaign.
“We have also created new additional opportunities at success with the introduction of the Cup and Shield competitions.
“The action kicks off with the Shield final between Kells and West Hull before Clock Face Miners and East Leeds will get the chance to take part in their first-ever NCL Finals Day.
“It is fantastic that all of these clubs will get the opportunity to play in front of the Our League cameras on Saturday afternoon.”
