Betfred League 1 side Workington Town have started an appeal to help provide toys and food for under privileged kids in the local area.
Town are making a commitment after a tough year for many families and are looking to help the most vulnerable in Workington and the surrounding towns and villages.
The club are collecting toys, food and footwear including boars and trainers at their home of Derwent Park.

The appeal is already proving to be a success with Workington Town Chairman, Les Smallwood, posting on Twitter: “One individual has just pledged 2k to buy toys for our appeal. Absolutely blown away by this and quite emotional. Thank you so much.”
