Sunday 11th October will see the final game of the season in the Women’s League take place, with the culmination of Northern League Two.
The teams that finished in the top two of the division have made the Grand Final, which sets up a competitive fixture, with the winner earning promotion to Northern League One in 2027.
Halifax Panthers have been on an unbeaten run, winning every fixture in the league this season. The Panthers were relegated from League One last season and have used the year to build and strengthen their squad.
Their convincing performances then continued into the Semi-Finals where they defeated Wigan St Judes in an impressive 68-0 win.
Similarly, Ashton Bears have also gone from strength to strength this season, finishing on 21 points and winning 10 of their 14 league fixtures. Last season saw them finish just outside of the Play-Offs in fifth place, proving that the hard work at the club has reaped rewards this season.
They narrowly booked their place in the Grand Final, after a closely fought out encounter against Batley ARLFC in their Semi-Final. The teams were level after 80 minutes, but Ashton Bears came away victorious with a penalty kick to secure their spot.
The teams have faced each other twice this season, with Halifax Panthers taking the points on both occasions. They will be heading into the Grand Final full of confidence, but Ashton Bears will be looking to cause an upset!
