The 2026 Betfred Championship season comes down to one final showdown as London Broncos and Doncaster battle it out for the title at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Sunday afternoon (4 October, K.O. 3pm)
For the hosts, the stakes could hardly be higher.
Having already secured the League Leaders' Shield and lifted the 1895 Cup earlier this season, Jason Demetriou's side are now just 80 minutes away from completing a remarkable treble.
Their dominance throughout 2026 has made them the team to beat, losing only once in league action and setting the standard from the very start of the campaign.
But standing in their way is a Doncaster side that has continued to prove the doubters wrong.
Under the guidance of Richard Horne, the Dons have enjoyed a memorable season, finishing fourth, and arrive in the capital full of confidence after navigating a difficult Play-Off route.
They overcame Barrow Raiders twice in emphatic fashion, before ending Newcastle Thunder's 16-match winning run with an impressive 33-18 victory in the Preliminary Final last Saturday to secure their place in the Grand Final.
The two sides know each other well.
They met in the Qualifying Final earlier this month, with London producing a clinical display to secure a 42-6 victory and book their place in the Preliminary Finals. After leading 14-6 at the break, the Broncos pulled away in the second half, showcasing the quality that has made them the competition's standout side throughout 2026.
That wasn't the only meeting between the clubs this season.
The sides have met three times during 2026 in both league and cup, with London emerging victorious on each occasion.
Two of those wins came convincingly at the home of the Broncos, including a convincing 68-18 victory in Round 19, but the Dons have shown that they have been able to trouble the table toppers.
In Round 11, Doncaster were leading until the final six minutes before London finished strongly with a flurry of late tries to snatch victory.
While those results suggest the Broncos hold the advantage, Grand Finals often have a habit of ignoring the formbook.
London's route to the final has been emphatic. Following their Qualifying Final success, they underlined their credentials with a stunning 74-8 victory over Oldham, racing into a 40-0 half-time lead before finishing the job in style.
The Broncos will once again look to their captain Reagan Campbell-Gillard, with playmakers Gairo Voro and Dean Hawkins key to their attacking threat.
Winger Neil Tchamambe and loose forward Siliva Havili have also been influential throughout the campaign.
Homegrown hero James Meadows will be eager to lead his boyhood club to glory, while the recent return of star man Morea Morea provides another major boost ahead of the Grand Final.
Doncaster, meanwhile, boast plenty of threats of their own. Experienced figures such as recent World Record holder for the most successive rugby league conversions Connor Robinson, as well as his half-back partner Cory Aston, and the likes of Luke Briscoe and Bureta Faraimo, have all played important roles in their run to the final, with Faraimo's hat-trick proving decisive against Newcastle last weekend.
One side is aiming to complete a historic treble.
The other is looking to cap an extraordinary Play-Off charge with Championship silverware.
