Yorkshire Men’s League Cup Finals return this weekend

Saturday 1st August, the Yorkshire Men’s League Grand Finals will return for a thrilling day of Rugby League action at The Fox’s Biscuits Stadium, with four trophies to be decided across a full day of community Rugby League action. 

From 11:00am, eight teams will battle for silverware in what promises to be another memorable showcase of Yorkshire Men's League. 

All four finals will be streamed live on the RFL YouTube channel, ensuring that nobody misses what is set to be an enthralling display of Rugby League. 

Finalists will be competing for: 

  • Yorkshire Men’s League Plate 

  • Yorkshire Men’s League Trophy 

  • Yorkshire Men’s League Cup 

  • Yorkshire Men’s League Shield 

Plate Final (11:00am) - Skirlaugh Bulls v Milford ARLFC A  

The day's action gets underway with an intriguing Plate Final between Entry Division side Skirlaugh Bulls and Division 6 promotion contenders Milford ARLFC A. 

So far, Skirlaugh have enjoyed an impressive cup run by defeating Mirfield Spartans A, Emley Moor A, Rycroft Hammers and Heworth A. Securing their place in the final with a 33-22 victory over Heworth. 

Milford's journey has seen them overcome Stanley Rangers A, Bentley A and Boothtown Terriers, with an emphatic 41-16 semi-final victory earning them their place at the Grand Finals Day. 

Trophy Final (1:00pm) - Castleford Panthers v West Hull A  

The second final sees two of Division 2's strongest sides meet as Castleford Panthers take on unbeaten league leaders West Hull A.  

Castleford, currently sit third in the league table, having defeated Moortown Mambas, Cutsyke Raiders and Queensbury on their route to the final, overcoming Queensbury 16-6 in the last round.  

West Hull A arrive at Batley unbeaten this season and sitting at the very top of Division 2. Their cup campaign includes victories over Goole Vikings before an impressive 26-4 win against Eastmoor Dragons in the semi-finals. 

Cup Final (3:00pm) - Doncaster Toll Bar v Hunslet ARLFC A  

The headline fixture of the day will see Doncaster Toll Bar face Hunslet ARLFC A. 

Doncaster Toll Bar currently lead the Premier Division and remain unbeaten, edging Hunslet ARLFC A at the top of the table on points difference.  

Doncaster have accounted for East HullWibsey Warriors and most recently overcame Ossett Trinity Tigers 29-4 during their cup run. Hunslet have defeated Seacroft Sharks, Dodworth Miners and Newcastle Lightning, including an impressive 18-4 victory in the semi-finals, to book their place in the final. 

Shield Final (5:00pm) - Hull Wyke v Sherburn Bears  

The day concludes with the Shield Final, where two league leaders go head-to-head as Division 5 leaders Hull Wyke take on Division 4 leaders Sherburn Bears.  

Hull Wyke have impressed throughout the competition, defeating Newsome Panthers A before overcoming Crigglestone All Blacks 44-22 to reach the final.  

Sherburn Bears secured their place in Batley with victories over York Acorn A and a hard-fought 20-18 success against Stanningley A in the semi-finals.
