Inaugural RFL Female Health Coaching Programme Announces Deadline for Sign-ups
During May, the RFL proudly announced the launch of its new Women and Girls Health Programme, an innovative coach education initiative designed to improve understanding of female health and wellbeing within Rugby League.
Developed in response to growing awareness of the barriers women and girls can experience in sport, including menstrual health, body confidence and wellbeing challenges, the programme aims to equip coaches with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools needed to better support women and girls participating in Rugby League.
Since its announcement, the programme has gained widespread support and global interest, including from partner organisations that will be announced shortly.
Spaces are now limited, and people are encouraged to secure their place by 22 June and can be accessed via this link.
Commenting on the importance of the programme, Ellis Pascall, the RFL’s Coach Development Officer, said: “Women and girls deserve environments where they feel understood, supported and confident to participate in Rugby League. Coaches play a vital role in shaping those experiences, and this programme is designed to give them the knowledge and confidence to provide the best possible support.
At the RFL, we strongly encourage everyone involved in coaching the women and girls’ game to sign up, so they can continue making a positive contribution and help create better experiences for females in Rugby League.”
