Funeral details confirmed following passing of John Kear

The funeral of John Kear will be next Friday, June 19, at St John’s Church, Penistone, South Yorkshire, at midday.

The service will be followed by a private committal.

There will be a wake for John’s family and friends at The Huntsman Pub in Thurlstone.

The family have requested donations in lieu of flowers, to West Yorkshire Dog Rescue.

The Rugby League community has come together in shared tributes since his passing, including a minute's applause and silences ahead of last week's Round 13 Betfred Super League fixtures and across the Betfred Championship.
