The RFL Nominations Committee have today notified the RFL Council of their preferred candidates for the roles of Chair and Independent Non-Executive Directors.
Following an open and thorough search, RFL Council members will now vote on the proposed appointments at a meeting on Tuesday 24th March.
The preferred candidate for the position of RFL Chair is Nigel Wood OBE, and the nominated Independent Non-Executive Directors are Dermot Power, Emma Rosewarne MBE, Lord Jonathan Caine and Sara Symington.
The Chair position has been offered on an initial one-year term, with an option for second year, and the Independent Non-Executive Directors on varying length terms.
The RFL Nominations Committee was led by Jo Coates (Senior Independent Director & NomCo Chair) with support from Eamonn McManus (SLE Director), Peter Hutton (Senior Independent Director RL Commercial) and Jo Drapier (Sport England) for the Independent Non-Executive Directors recruitment.
The same four members, plus Neil Davidson (Independent panelist) and Power (RFL Independent Non-Executive Director), made up the Committee leading the Chair recruitment.
The composition of both Committees was created to ensure no conflicts, and the recruitment process was supported by Clover HR throughout.
