7 in 7 Together: Kevin Sinfield's latest annual challenge is underway

Kevin Sinfield CBE, the MND fundraiser and a Rugby League legend, started his latest annual challenge yesterday (Monday 1st December 2025).

The name for this year’s challenge is 7 in 7: Together, where Kevin will run seven ultra marathons in seven days across seven cities or regions.

Again, this will include an Extra Mile event where members of the MND community will join Kev for one mile each day from 1st to 7th December 2025. Each day will be broken down into 7km blocks that Sinfield must complete inside the hour, before setting off on the next leg on the hour. 

Sinfield has raised over £10 million with his five previous challenges for those impacted by Motor Neurone Disease, inspired by his friend and former team mate Rob Burrow CBE.

This year, Kevin and the team will visit new locations that could be overlooked by major events so the MND community in each know they are not forgotten. 

They completed Day 1 in East Anglia and have since flown to Cork in Ireland for today's leg (Tuesday 2nd December 2025).

The challenge then continues throughout the week in Swansea, Sheffield, Cumbria, Dundee, before concluding in Yorkshire.

The public are asked to come out and support the challenge as it visits towns and villages but the public are not allowed to join the run for everyone’s safety and protection. 

The week long challenge is as follows:

Monday 1st December – East Anglia - Bury St Edmunds to Ipswich

Tuesday 2nd December – Republic of Ireland - Cork

Wednesday 3rd December – Wales - Swansea

Thursday 4th December – South Yorkshire - Sheffield

Friday 5th December – Cumbria - Workington to Whitehaven

Saturday 6th December – Scotland - Dundee

Sunday 7th December – North & West Yorkshire - York to Leeds
