Bartercard Odsal to host Women’s League One and Two Grand Finals this Sunday

The Women’s League One and League Two Grand Finals will take place at Bartercard Odsal Stadium on Sunday 12 October, featuring two eagerly anticipated fixtures.
With standards in the women’s game continuing to rise, this Finals Day promises to showcase outstanding talent from across the divisions.
In League One, Widnes Vikings secured the League Leaders’ Shield after an impressive campaign, losing only in the opening round. They booked their place in the final with a convincing 22–4 semi-final victory over Stanningley.
Wakefield Trinity, meanwhile, have enjoyed a remarkable turnaround, climbing from bottom of the table in 2024 to second place this season. Their resurgence continued in the Play-Offs with a 26–4 win against Workington Town.
The League One Final promises to be a closely contested encounter between Widnes and Wakefield, with both sides aiming to secure promotion to the Northern Championship next year.
League Two has also seen significant progress in 2025, culminating in a local derby final between Rochdale Hornets and Rochdale Mayfield, a clash that adds incredible tension to the occasion.
Rochdale Hornets topped the 2025 league table with 26 points before defeating Wigan St Judes 26–4 in their semi-final.
Rochdale Mayfield, equally as impressive, claimed their place in the final with an impressive 52–4 win over Thatto Heath Crusaders.
Both Rochdale clubs have invested heavily in their women’s programmes this season, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed with a place in Finals Day for both teams.
This is an event not to be missed, and supporters are encouraged to come along and cheer on the teams. Full details of the Grand Finals Day can be found below...
