Victoria Park in Warrington to host the 2026 Girls Cup Finals

Victoria Park in Warrington to host the 2026 Girls Cup Finals

The Girls League concludes this weekend with the Cup Finals, taking place at Victoria Park in Warrington. All four matches will also be streamed live on the RFL YouTube channel.

As the Girls League continues the grow, so does the talent on display and these finals are set to be a fantastic showcase...

The Girls Cup Finals will start with the Under 13s Final, which will feature Bentley vs Fryston Warriors (K.O. 10:30am). Both teams finished top of their group, unbeaten and full of confidence going into their semi-final fixtures. Bentley came up against Rose Bridge Pantheresses, recording a 20-8 win. Fryston’s semi final was a closer encounter, with a 24-18 win over Hindley Hinds. The two finalists finished level on points in the league this season, and their only defeat was against each other, setting up the perfect end to the season with nearly nothing separating the two teams.

The Under 14s Final will see Thatto Heath Crusaders take on Shaw Cross Sharks (K.O. 11:45am). Both teams were undefeated in the group stage, but Thatto have had a slightly easier run in the Play-Off stages of the competition, beating Featherstone Lionesses 32-4 in the quarters, and then Rose Bridge Pantheresses 18-6 in the semis. Shaw Cross have battled with tighter scorelines to secure their final spot, narrowly seeing off Haydock Warriors 14-12 in their quarter-final game, then edging out Drighlington 6-4 to book their spot in the final.

At Under 15s, we see a repeat of the Premier Division Final with Hull Kingston Rovers taking on Culcheth Eagles (K.O. 1pm). Hull Kingston Rovers took the silverware home on the first occasion, so Culcheth will be keen to change the name on the Cup. Hull KR have put on dominant displays in the Cup, with 46-6 and 42-0 wins against Normanton Knights and Hindley Hinds, respectively, in the Play-Off stages. Culcheth have had closer encounters, beating Siddal 18-10 in the quarter-final, and narrowly defeating Wigan St Patricks 24-20 on Saturday to reach the final.

The last game of the day will feature the Under 16s, and another rematch between Drighlington and Leigh Miners Rangers (K.O. 2:30pm). Their League Final was a closely fought-out fixture, which we hope will repeat on Saturday. Drighlington booked their place in the final, with a 32-0 win over Thatto Heath, whilst Leigh Miners Rangers defeated Oulton Raidettes 12-4 to reach the final. After a strong season for both sides, we look forward to seeing the talent on display to conclude a day of Cup Finals for the Girls League.
