Greetland Allrounders RLFC pay tribute to lifelong volunteer Barry Dyson

The RFL are saddened to hear the passing of Barry Dyson, whose service to Greetland Allrounders RLFC spanned over more than five decades.
Over the past weekend Greetland Allrounders paid fitting tribute to the Hall of Famer whilst welcoming their newest inductee.
Whilst Barry Dyson was recognised as a Greetland Hall of Famer, the club have expressed that he will be remembered simply by “Mr Greetland”, a fitting reference to his commitment to the club and sport.
Alan Hindle, Greetland Allrounders Club Chairman, said: “Barry Dyson was Mr Greetland. He lived and breathed Rugby League and the club for over 50 years. All opposition teams knew Barry, even the match officials and the majority of spectators.”
“Barrys commitment never wavered, even when his wife passed, and he had some health issues, Barry didn't miss a beat. He was always there on the sides, looking to the future.
“Ask any of the past players, they stuck around because of Barry, his kindness, love of Rugby League and his dedication to this club."
