The funeral of legendary Rugby League commentator and former player Ray French will take place on Friday, 15 August at St Helens Parish Church at 10:30am.
The service will be followed by a private burial before a gathering at Liverpool St Helens Rugby Union Club at Moss Lane to which everyone is invited.
Ray sadly passed away in July, at the age of 85.
The Rugby League community has come together in shared tributes since his passing including a minute’s applause ahead of last week’s Betfred Super League fixture between St Helens and Castleford Tigers at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
