Standout stats from the 2025 Betfred Challenge Cup Finals

2025’s Wembley Finals Day was a memorable occasion, with Saturday’s gate of 63,278 the second best since 2017.

History was made as Wigan Warriors Women, Hull KR and York Knights all lifted the trophies in their respective Final spectacles.

From the Betfred Challenge Cup Finals, there were several stunning stats - both in the Men’s and Women’s matches (All stats provided by Opta)...

In the Women’s Challenge Cup, the Warriors ran riot as they went on to bank their first Women's Challenge Cup title.

Player of the Match Grace Banks made the most metres out of any player on the pitch with 215. Her teammates Anna Davies (176) and Mary Coleman (161) are in second and third.

In total, seven Cherry & White players surpassed 100 metres, highlighting their ruthless ability to attack.

Banks also scored a try and bust five tackles on Saturday.

It was an Izzy Rowe show as Wigan’s heroic halfback had a perfect Wembley record with the boot – successfully converting seven out of seven goals. She also produced one try and one try assist.

Try scorer Coleman also emerged as the top tackler in the winning side with 31, although Jodie Cunningham’s monstrous efforts cannot go unnoticed.

The Saints captain was courageous and valiant in defeat, topping the metre maker and tackle count for her side once again in this year's Final (159 metres in 22 runs and 43 tackles).

Over the Challenge Cup Final, it was a face off between the fullbacks, with Matt Dufty and Jack Broadbent demonstrating their blistering pace under the famous arch.

Both backs ran over 200 metres each at Wembley. Wires Toby King (194) and Arron Lindop (162), and Hull KR’s Tom Davies (241) and Joe Burgess (149), were the top metre makers of the Men's afternoon.

Davies, the highest metre maker, racked up his tally up in just 25 runs. He also came up with the memorable match-winning moment and try.

Each team's starting 1-5 produced 100+ metres in the Final, highlighting the fast pace and quality of the game, as well as utilisation of these individuals on the edges.

The experienced Marc Sneyd joined Sean Long as the second player to have won the Lance Todd Trophy a record three times.

Sneyd’s sensational kicking game inspired Warrington on Saturday, with a total of 774 kicking metres and 25 kicks in play.

He also had a 100% success rate with the boot.

Tackle counts were through the roof in this year's Challenge Cup Final, showing the desire and determination by both sets of players.

Ben Currie and Adam Holroyd are joint for Warrington with 43 tackles completed, while Robins skipper Elliot Minchella successfully completed 57 tackles and helped to shut his opposition down.

Warrington had 53% of possession in their Challenge Cup Final loss and completed higher than Hull KR (79%), with 83%.

Finally, in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final, records were broken and firsts were had.

York ensured their first ever win at the national stadium, as the crowd went on to witness the first tryless yet thrilling 1895 Cup Final.

Knights captain Harris knocked up a 5-point tally – responsible for the entirety of York’s points on the scoreboard on Saturday. He was the deserved recipient of the Ray French Award, as a result.
