AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final to be shown live from Wembley Stadium on SuperLeague+

SuperLeague+ will again provide live coverage of Saturday evening’s AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final from Wembley Stadium (K.O. 5:45pm).
The coverage will be free to anyone with a SL+ account – and it’s easy and free to sign up if you haven’t already – just click SuperLeague+.
And the winner of the Ray French Award as player of the match will again be decided by Our League members.
This will be the sixth Final since the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup was launched in 2019 as a second and more realistic chance for non-Super League clubs to reach Challenge Cup Finals Day.
It’s a repeat of the second Final in 2021, as Featherstone Rovers face York Knights aiming to become the first club to win the competition for a second time, after their 41-34 victory three years ago.
The Ray French Award was introduced in 2019 to be awarded to the player of the match in the 1895 Cup Final, following a poll of Our League members – to celebrate the contribution to the sport over six decades made by the former dual code international, Challenge Cup winner, and BBC commentator.
Ray presented the first award to Anthony Thackeray following Sheffield Eagles’ victory over Widnes Vikings, and this weekend the award will be presented at Wembley by his son Gary and grandson Pietro.
