Who's ready for some epic Easter Weekend action in Betfred League One?
Betfred League One is back for Round 6 with five epic encounters taking place in the third tier across the Easter Weekend.
And excitingly, the Cumbrian Derby returns just in time for Good Friday!
Workington and Whitehaven will renew a fierce rivalry for the first time in the league since 2022. They did face each other in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup last year, however, with Whitehaven clinching a 22-28 victory.
Haven are undefeated in their last ten meetings with Town, having won nine and drawn one – but who will run out victors in Round 6’s eagerly anticipated meeting?
It’s a return to the Fibrus Community Stadium for Haven’s head coach Anthony Murray, who spent two seasons at Workington before being appointed head coach of their rivals later down the line.
Likewise, Town’s head coach, Jonty Gorley also faces his old club that he coached for a number of years...
Meanwhile, there’s another local derby between Rochdale and Swinton this Friday. The teams have already locked horns once in 2025 – in a pulsating 1895 Cup match where the Hornets pipped an 18-16 win.
Keighley and Goole face each other in an all-Yorkshire clash – which will be their first meeting in history.
Tensions will be at an all-time high as the battle at the bottom-end of the table commences, with both sides desperate for their first win of the new campaign.
Who will bank an important two points?
Elsewhere, Dewsbury host Newcastle, and it's Thunder who are undefeated in their last five meetings with the Rams.
Newcastle might still be searching for their first victory of the season, but are a side that Dewsbury cannot afford to underestimate in Round 6.
The Easter action then concludes with league leaders Midlands hosting North Wales on the Saturday – and it’s set to be a quality contest as the two unbeaten teams go head-to-head.
The Hurricanes and the Crusaders are yet to taste defeat in the 2025 League One competition, but who will maintain their winning start?
