Charges arising from Round Two fixtures of the Betfred Super League are detailed below.
Joe Shorrocks of Salford Red Devils has incurred 15 penalty points, after the Match Review Panel charged him with Grade D head contact in Saturday’s fixture against Leeds Rhinos, in an incident which led to the Leeds half-back Brodie Croft leaving the field.
Croft subsequently failed his Head Injury Assessment, meaning he was unable return and will also miss this weekend’s fixture against Castleford Tigers.
Therefore in addition to the 12 points for a Grade D offence, Shorrocks receives three additional points - under the new on-field sentencing guidelines that have been introduced for 2025 - On-Field Sentencing Guidelines for 2025.
He will therefore serve a two-match suspension, after which his points total will be halved to 7.5.
All players charged have the facility to challenge at an independent Operational Rules Tribunal on Tuesday February 25.
