Round 8 of Betfred League One saw Keighley Cougars and Hunslet entertain each another live on The Sportsman on Sunday afternoon.
Hunslet opened the scoring through a brace from Jude Ferreira, before the hosts fired back to take a 14-8 lead at the break.
Joe Law struck back for Hunslet after the break, however, a second of the afternoon from Billy Walkley would put the Cougars back ahead.
But that was as good would get for Keighley, as Hunslet went on to score 12 unanswered points - which included a further two tries from Ferreira - seeing the former Hull FC man end with four on the afternoon, and the Cougars consigned to their first defeat of the 2024 league season.
Elsewhere in the competition, Oldham continued their dominance.
The Roughyeds ran riot scoring 13 tries during their 74-0 success over Newcastle Thunder. Their forward, Adam Lawton, crossed for four tries during the contest at Boundary Park.
Rochdale Hornets defeated Cornwall, where the game was closely fought until Morgan Punchard was sent off for the Choughs. The 56-24 success sees the Hornets move up to fourth in the table.
The final game of the weekend then saw Midlands Hurricanes produce an impressive and historic away success in Cumbria.
Jake Sweeting, Callum McLelland, Tom Wilkinson and Ryan Johnson all scored for Mark Dunning’s side, with Midlands moving up to sixth in the table after their second away win of the 2024 season.
