Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup quarter-final fixtures confirmed

Fixtures for the quarter finals of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup have been confirmed following the completion of the competition’s group stage.

York Valkyrie, Wigan Warriors, St Helens and Leeds Rhinos finished top of their respective groups to guarantee a home tie in the next round against the four runners-up.

Cup holders St Helens topped Group Three with a 100% record and will play Huddersfield Giants on Saturday (13 April). Saints could make it four in a row should they be successful at Wembley Stadium once again this year and have beaten their opponents in each of their last five meetings.

In Group One, reigning Betfred Women’s Super League champions York Valkyrie defeated Sheffield Eagles and Featherstone Rovers and will meet the Rovers again for a place in the semi-finals. The Challenge Cup is the one piece of silverware that the Valkyrie are yet to claim having lost out to Saints in the 2022 Cup Final – head coach Lindsay Anfield will be hoping that 2024 is their year.

Wigan Warriors are continuing in their push to shake the top of the competition tree and topped Group Two following their defeat of Women’s Super League South champions Cardiff Demons who they face again at home on Saturday. The Demons have qualified for the quarter finals for only the second time in their history this season but have lost out to Wigan in their last two meetings – will it be third time lucky for the Dragons?

Last year’s beaten finalists, Leeds Rhinos, racked up 196 points against Huddersfield Giants, Hull KR and Leigh Leopards to finish top of Group Four and set up a home tie with Warrington Wolves.

Quarter Final ties to be played 13/14 April:
