Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Final draw confirmed

Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Final draw confirmed

The draw for the quarter-finals of the Men’s Betfred Challenge Cup was made tonight on BBC Radio 5Live by darts aces and Rugby League fans Joe Cullen and Michael Smith – and Smith’s side St Helens will play Warrington Wolves in a repeat of the 2019 final.

Warrington won convincingly at Wembley Stadium that day, 18-4, with Daryl Clark rubbing salt in the Saints’ wounds with a late try. Clark, of course, is now with St Helens and his first game against his old club promises to be one of the biggest of the season.

Joe Cullen’s team, Wigan Warriors, will visit Castleford for the second time this year, having already beaten the Tigers on Super League’s opening weekend.

Huddersfield Giants must travel to the south of France to face Catalans Dragons, but will do so on the back of an impressive 50-6 thrashing of Hull FC in Round 6.

Cup holders Leigh Leopards have arguably the toughest challenge of all – a trip to east Hull to take on Hull KR in a repeat of last year’s final.

Ties will be played on the weekend of 13/14 April and broadcast details will be announced as soon as possible.
