With the 2024 Betfred Super League season underway, Rugby League Commercial is delighted to confirm that Ronseal will continue their long-term support of the sport’s Match Officials.
Referee Liam Moore and touch-judges Richard Thompson and Jonny Roberts were the first to wear this season’s Ronseal-sponsored jerseys in the Thursday night opener between Hull FC and Hull KR, televised by Sky Sports.
Ronseal have been a proud partner of Rugby League Match Officials since 2018. With more live coverage than ever before on Sky Sports and BBC Sport, and video referees now appointed for every Betfred Super League fixture, the well-known paint and DIY brand will maximise their coverage in 2024.
Ronseal will continue to champion Rugby League’s work in the community and look to support further activation opportunities such as the Fifth Official competition last year when a young aspiring official had a money-can’t-buy experience on Betfred Challenge Cup Finals Day at Wembley Stadium.
Jimmy Englezos, Ronseal’s Senior Brand Manager: "At Ronseal, we are thrilled to announce the continuation of our partnership with Rugby League. We have been close partners for a number of years now and have collaborated to complete some great projects within local communities during that time.
“In addition to the fantastic exposure that this partnership affords for our brand, we feel that both the RFL and Ronseal share a number of common values that combine to make this partnership great.
“We are proud to support all match officials across every format of the Betfred Challenge Cup and Super League for another year."
Bobby Bahadori, Head of Partnerships RL Commercial: “Ronseal have been superb partners for Rugby League for more than five years, recognising the importance of Match Officials as the sport’s unsung heroes.
“All our officials, whether full-time or part-time, hugely appreciate their support, and we are thrilled to confirm that it will continue in what promises to be a superb 2024 season – with Ronseal a constant presence on Match Officials’ jerseys through the Betfred Challenge Cups and Super Leagues, covering the Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair competitions.”
