
Leeds Rhinos got the Women’s Quarter Final action underway on Saturday afternoon as they welcomed Leigh Leopards to Headingley.
England international, Keara Bennett opened the scoring after 10 minutes.
The 2022 Super League Champions showed their dominance with tries from Ruby Enright Izzy Northrop, Bethan Dainton, Tara Moxon and Sam Hulme which gave the Rhinos a commanding 32-0 lead at the break.
Their place in the semi-finals was secured when Moxon, Northrop and Enright all went over for their second tries of the game. Meanwhile, captain Hannah Butcher and Mayzi Carter also crossed for Lois Forsell’s side.
Leeds will face Wigan Warriors in the next round.
The Warriors hosted Huddersfield Giants in a fixture which was shown live on The Sportsman.
Wigan opened the scoring through captain Rachel Thompson, who was making her first appearance since returning from injury.
The hosts lead at the break 26-6, with arguably the try of the half coming from Grace Banks, who caught the ball close to her line, before racing the full length to score.
England international, Vicky Molyneux continued the Wigan charge just two minutes into the second half.
The Warriors scored further tries through Mary Coleman and Holly Speakman during the 46-10 victory.
York Valkyrie defeated Super League South champions, Cardiff Demons at the LNER Community Stadium.
Valkyrie took an early lead through a Georgie Hetherington try inside the opening five minutes.
Jas Bell and Sinead Peach added tries before Hetherington crossed for her second.
Tamzin Renouf capped off a strong first half, as Lindsay Anfield’s side took a 26-0 lead into the break.
Three minutes into the second half, Hetherington completed her hat-trick.
Rhiannon Marshall added a try, before Peach got her second.
Liv Gale was the next York player to score, before Hetherington capped off a fine performance with her fourth try of the afternoon.
York will face St Helens, who defeated Warrington at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
The Saints took a lead through a Luci McColm try, before Darcy Stott extended the lead.
McColm crossed for her second, as St Helens lead 16-0 at half-time.
England international, Shona Hoyle scored a second half hat-trick, meanwhile teammate Eboni Partington also got on the scoresheet.
