Wakefield Trinity centre, Reece Lyne scored during his testimonial match against Halifax Panthers. Jay Pitts and Eddie Battye scored either side of Lyne's effort as Trinity led 18-0 at half-time. 

Morgan Smith added two second half tries as Trinity went on to defeat Championship side, Halifax Panthers 28-16.

Elsewhere, Whitehaven secured bragging rights after defeating Cumbrian rivals, Workington Town. Workington took an early lead, however, 22 unanswered points saw Whitehaven come out on top.

Joe Edge starred for Widnes as they defeated Rochdale 44-6. Edge crossed for a hat-trick and converted five goals. Widnes scored nine tries during the dominant display.

York survived a first half scare to defeat League One Doncaster in an all Yorkshire affair. The Dons headed into half-time with a 12-8 lead after two late tries at the end of the first half.

20 unanswered points was enough to wrestle the game into the Championship sides favour with James Glover completing the scoring for York.

Bradford beat Dewsbury in a West Yorkshire battle. Four first half tries including one by Jack Walker saw the Bulls take a commanding 24-6 lead at half-time.

Joe Arundel and Jordan Lilley added further tries for Bradford, before Dewsbury struck twice late in consolation as the game ended 34-16.

Barrow came out on top in a high scoring match against the North Wales Crusaders for Nathan Mossop's testimonial match.

New signings Ellis Archer and Andrew Bulman were among the scorers for Barrow, as well as Mossop. Mossop failed to land a ceremonial conversion at the end of the match, but that did not impact on the scoreline as Barrow came out 52-24 victors.
