Head coach Tom Coyd has named his England Wheelchair side to face Australia tonight at London’s Copper Box Arena (7.30pm).
As expected the side will be captained by Leeds Rhinos’ Tom Halliwell, who will line up alongside club colleagues Nathan Collins and Rob Hawkins for the first match between the two nations since England’s Ashes success Down Under in 2019.
England and Australia are in Group A with Ireland and Spain, who face each other at Copper Box in the tournament opener at 5pm. Fixtures are then reversed for round two, with England playing Spain at Copper Box on Sunday 6 November (KO 12noon). England’s final group match is against Ireland on Wednesday 9 November (KO 1.30pm)
All England’s group fixtures will be broadcast live on BBC2. Tickets are available online at rlwc2021.com
