England v All Stars Head-to-Head | Preview

As the days count down to the England vs Combined Nations All-Stars clash at Warrington on Saturday, June 18, here's he latest in of our look ahead to some cross-team battles coming up in Betfred Super League this weekend.

Friday - Morgan Knowles v Chris Satae

Two huge forwards again who will be crucial parts of both the All Stars and England. Knowles has been impressive so far in 2022 as he has cemeted his place as one of the competition's best loose forwards. The Barrow-born former Wales star will be keen to impress against Hull's notoriously hulking pack.

Tongan Satae has been a mainstay of the Hull FC team since joining the club in 2019. The prop or second row is likely to be one of the biggest threats the All Stars pose and will be looking to inspire his club side to what would be an eye-catching away win on Friday night.

Saturday - Mitchell Pearce v George Williams

Two halfbacks with NRL experience, Williams has struggled with injury in 2022 as Warrington have endured a difficult start to the season. The former Wigan and Canberra star will be hoping to get his season on track, starting this weekend, as he aims to force his way into England reckoning.

Pearce meanwhile was one of Catalans' headline arrivals in the off season, and has been an important part of the Dragons' positive start to the year. He has previously captained New South Wales in State of Origin and will be a likely contender to captain the All-Stars.

Sunday - Ryan Hall v Jake Mamo

Ryan Hall is arguably Super League's form winger right now as he bagged six tries in four games across March and April, as well as clocking well over 1,300 running metres so far.

Mamo meanwhile has taken time to settle into his new surroundings after swapping Warrington for Castleford in the winter, but has shown flashes of brilliance so far. Can he outshine Ryan Hall this weekend?
