North East started like a house on fire with Sean Croston scoring after just two minutes, although Stephen Gibbs missed the conversion.
They were caught napping at the restart as Josh Frost dribbled the fumbled ball through to score, although Mike Holden missed the kick levelling the scores. Both sides traded converted tries again, with Jake Lighowler crossing for North East (Gibbs with the kick) and Charlie Todd for South West (Alex Chapman converting).
From here, North East put their foot down, with Anthony Dyne finishing a right to left move, Gibbs missing the kick, and Charlie Frost finishing a left to right move, this time with Dan Coates kicking, but unsucessfully, before Dyne went in again, Coates unlucky from the touchline.
Tom Wilcox rounded off the scoring, again Coates unable to find his mark to make it 26-10 at the break.
North East kept the hammer down during the second half, with Craig Banks stealing the ball and crashing through to set up an easy kick for Gibbs, before Coates crossed for a try of his own under the posts, again Gibbs found his mark. Mike Holden rallied the South West, scorching down the wing to give the team hope, with Chapman converting from the touchline, before Coates added two further tries to his tally to score his first ever hat trick, Gibbs converting both. Final score 50-16.
