Yorkshire and North West closed the day with all the hallmarks of a War Of The Roses clash. North West looked ominous from the off, with Alex Smith finishing a flowing passing move setting up an easy kick for Elias Harrison.
Nathan Taylor struck shortly afterwards, capitalising on a downfield kick, with Harrison missing the kick. Richard Pogson brought Yorkshire into the game collecting a fumbled high bomb and going on to convert his own try. Matty Chrimes completed Kieran Smith's downfield break to score in the left corner, Pogson nudging the White Rose ahead.
Minutes before half time, Pogson jinked his way through to add a second try to his tally, with Chrimes kicking the difficult conversion. Jason Holland scampered away to score a try on the hooter, with Harrison converting to leave the North West trailing by just two points at half time.
Linden Metcalf burrowed from dummy-half to extend Yorkshire's lead after the break, but Chrimes was unable to convert. Alex Eckley collected Nathan Taylor's inside pass to score on the left edge, but Taylor was unable to convert. As it looked like Yorkshire would hold on, the Red Rose struck through Brad Calland, showing pace to move North West ahead. Matty Rudd was unable to convert and the North West held on in a nail-biting climax to take the victory.
