Physical Disability Rugby League is gearing up for a huge few weeks – starting with Grand Final day in Selby next Sunday (September 29).
Leeds Rhinos are the official hosts of the last Festival of the season, with Warrington Wolves aiming to add Grand Final success to the League Leaders title they clinched in the RFL’s Grand Day Out in Blackpool earlier this month.
The Wolves will face Castleford Tigers in the semi finals at Selby RUFC, which are both due to kick off at 2pm, with Leeds taking on Wakefield Trinity on the second pitch.
There will be a plate competition also involving Wigan, with Warrington underlining the strength of their PDRL set-up by fielding a second team – before the Grand Final kicks off at 3pm.
And that’s followed two weeks later by another huge stage for PDRL – Old Trafford on Super League Grand Final night!
After the huge impact made by the PDRL heroes of Leeds and Warrington during the Dacia Magic Weekend at Anfield in May, it’s the turn of Castleford and Wakefield to bring their local rivalry to the Theatre of Dreams – in a game that will kick off at 455pm, as part of the build-up to the Betfred Super League title decider.
Watch out for more announcements about that in the coming days – including the possibility of a couple of special guests.
