Lannon, 23, who came through the ranks at Salford and captained their academy team, joined Rovers on a three-year deal at the end of the 2018 season but has struggled for game time this year and is set to play for the Red Devils against Castleford Tigers on Friday.
Salford coach Ian Watson said: “Ryan knows about our club and what we expect and he’s also a very good player, who we didn’t really want to lose.
“He’s ready to come back here. He wants to come back and he wants to put his best performances out on show at Salford, because he feels this is where he was playing his best rugby.
“The fact that he plays second-row and middle gives us options too.”
Murray, 23, becomes the second loan acquisition for new Hull KR coach Tony Smith, who returned to his old club Warrington Wolves to sign forward Luis Johnson.
